On February 19th, 2026, the Moorpark Police Department received a call for service regarding a Moorpark Unified School District and Oak Park Unified School District substitute teacher, identified as Mia Fisch, who was alleged to have been sending harmful matter to minor students. The report was initially investigated by members of the Moorpark Police Department. The East County Major Crimes – Sexual Assault Unit assumed investigative control of the case. Multiple interviews were conducted and multiple search warrants were authored for electronic data related to the investigation.
